People say that Comfort Inn Midtown is like a gem in the middle of New York City, and they’re right. I stayed there during my last trip to NYC using free motel specials, and I have got to say it is just as good as the other hotels in Times Square that charge twice or thrice as much.It’s a bit difficult to get there by airport taxi, but that’s due to the typical city morning traffic. The front desk manager was the same one who was there last time, and so was the staff member who accompanied me to my room. It is truly a good thing when both customers and staff are loyal to the company.
My room and the bathroom in it were both very clean and well-furnished. However, I could clearly hear the noise coming from the street. I would later find out that the rooms facing away from the street were much more silent than the one I was in. It was also very hot inside the elevator, and it didn’t help that it moved like a half-asleep snail.

That afternoon, I went on a long-deserved shopping spree in Times Square. I bought myself a couple of new tops, a new skirt, new pair of pants, and that pair of shoes I’ve always wanted. In the evening, I spent watching Wicked on Broadway. The acting of Nicole Parker as Elphaba was just superb.After the show, the night was still young, so I went bar hopping with some of my friends who were living in the area. It was in early morning already by the time I got back to the inn, but the one of the inn’s staff was kind enough to guide me all the way back to my room. And, late that night, there was hardly any noise anymore, so I was able to sleep soundly.
I was very happy with my stay in this inn because the service and amenities it provides, and its being in Times Square is way more than worth the bargain price. Plus, I got even bigger discount because I used a budget hotel coupons.
